In this episode of Cool Cars with Chris, I pick up a 2016 Nissan 370Z with a manual transmission — and if you’re a true car enthusiast, you already know that’s the only way to drive a Z.
Finding a clean manual 370Z isn’t easy, especially locally here in San Diego. After searching, I found one nearby, checked it out, and made the deal happen. But before buying, I took it to a third-party mechanic to make sure everything was solid — no leaks, strong clutch, and a healthy engine.
Then it was time for the first upgrade.
The car came with a basic axle-back exhaust, so I replaced it with something much better at Ed Hansen’s Muffler Shop in Spring Valley. https://www.edhansonsmuffler.com/
In this video, you’ll see the before and after, hear how it sounds now, and watch some canyon driving footage to really experience the difference.
This is just the beginning of the build.
